Sania recovering from injury, cheers team in T-20 match

Even as she is yet to fully recover after her surgery, tennis star Sania Mirza arrived at the stadium to watch the T20 cricket match between Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals.

With a bandaged hand Sania entered the stadium. Accompanied by badminton player Jwala Gutta, the local Hyderabadi girl cheered the Deccan Chargers. The crowd also loved to see Sania among them.

Mirza is recovering from a wrist surgery which she recently had in USA. Clad in black shirt, she looked fit and raring to go back to the court. She is expected to play in the French Open which is scheduled next month.

Family sources say that she is fast on her way towards recovery. Her troublesome right hand was operated upon in Miami recently. The injury had forced her to skim a couple of tournaments. Last year she had undergone knee surgery.

Sania slips down in ranking

Sania Mirza's ranking went down to 32 due to her absence from the tennis court, as she was undergoing treatment in a hospital in USA for her injured wrist.

She is out of the elite Top 30. herIn the latest WTA ranking, Sania has done down from 30 to 32. But that's not a serious slip. In the doubles she has kept her ranking intact. She is ranked 19, which makes her the highest ranked Indian tennis player.

She is ahead of Lee and Hesh. Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi are ranked 13th and 24th in the latest positions in the ATP rankings. Almost a month she was out of action and that has hit her rankings. But Sania will hope to make a comeback in the French Open next month.

Are Sania, Shahid Kapoor in love?

Long back we reported that Sania is dating Shahid Kapoor. Their closeness continues, as they not only keep dating but are spending quality time together.

They were seen in several Mumbai locations recently. Candle-light dinner in top hotel and a couple of other outings. Tongues are wagging naturally.

Also, the news is that Shahid took Sania to Ahmad Khan's residence where they listened the songs of Shahid Kapur's upcomig Bollywood flick Kismet Konnect.

Shahid was quite heartbroken after his former girl friend, film actress, Kareena Kapoor dumped him for Saif Ali Khan. Now it seems Sania-Shahid are gelling well.
